In 2018, the Bayerische Staatsoper celebrates a double anniversary. The season 2018/19 therefore begins with a festival week from 21 September to 3 October.

The Festival Week programme opens with the 1st Academy Concert, which includes a premiere led by Constantinos Carydis, who recently conducted the new production of Le nozze di Figaro at the opera house. On 21 of September, together with the Bayerische Staatsorchester, he will bring Hans Abrahamsen’s Drei Märchenbilder aus der Schneeköniginto the stage for the first time. The programme will also include Richard Strauss’ Horn Concert No. 2 in E-flat Major and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A-major op. 92. All tickets for the Academy Concert on the 21st of September will be allocated by ballot. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase tickets for two further dates.
